Dear Mom, 

Do you know just how important your health is to the rest of the family?

You do a lot for the family. You cook, clean, and have a bevy of occupational hats (nurse, taxi driver, security guard, diplomatic negotiator, teacher, etc. the list goes on and on).

When your wellness suffers, physically or mentally, it's hard to keep up with mom duty. Disarming one more sibling war or playing another round of tag is just too hard.

This is why you need to take care of yourself. Find a way to relieve your stress and keep up your physical strength.

Finding Time to Exercise

I get it. Being a mom is a busy life. You rarely have time to do something on your own, and when you do, you really just want to relax. Do something like watch one episode of your favorite Netflix show uninterrupted. Wouldn't that be nice?

The good news is you don't have to give up your Netflix time to work out. Exercising when the kids are around is good for moral- maybe not yours all the time but theirs. 

Little kids love to mimic. Trying to do all the things you do. Watching a 1.5 year old trying to do bicep curls with an extra resistance band or a 5 year old attempting his first push-ups makes it worthwhile. 

You're making memories with them. They love "helping" you exercise. As you can see Little Miss is being very helpful. 😁 ⇣

Your points are so valid. I have been exercising regularly for some time, and my children sometimes try to do the workouts with me. So cute! I like to turn the volume down on the exercise program and listen to an audio book or podcast.

When I do exercise, my girls love to join me while I workout. It's so cute watching them.
